I Need to learn about Computer Telephoney Integration. Here is my plan:
I have an 800# telephone number that I have had for a while. I use
this phone number to forward to different phone numbers throughout my
day.
The basic use of what I'm looking to do: a docment file that has all
the informatoun inside as
I will visit a webpage on the internet where I can enter in the phone
number that I want the 800# forwarded to. I enter the phone number
into the webpage, and as soon as I press submit on my computer, when
someone calls my 800# they will be forwarded to the number I just
submitted. This needs to be real time. How do I make this happen?
What technology is needed?
Here is what I need:
I need to learn about the following: What type of hardware/software is
needed to do this, what type of programming, companies that can
provide hosting for CTI. Is there a special box/server that is used to
connect phone integration?
What I am looking for is not a program. I just need a document written
up on how I can do this. What is needed, where to go, companies, links
on the net etc.
If you are a programmer this is a plus because after I figure all of
this out I will need someone to implement it. I would prefer if you
have experience in the past working on CTI.
